Janow Podlaski-Wlodawa route - length is 146 km is a stage in Nadbuzanski Bike Trail running from Janow Podlaski to Hrubieszów (288 km). The route marked in red, runs through the eastern part of the Lublin province, adjacent to the river Bug, designating the Polish border with Belarus. These are the areas of Podlasie Lowland and Western Polesie. It lets you know the Bug River trail and landscape. Bug is unregulated and one of the few large rivers in Europe, which has retained its natural character. Clean air, lovely scenery and rich flora and fauna create excellent conditions for recreation in nature, away from the hustle and bustle of cities. The region can also boast of precious objects of cultural heritage such as: orthodox churches and forts of the fortress of Brest. Sanctuaries in Jabłeczna, Pratulin, Koden and Kostomłoty attract crowds of the faithful, and the famous stud of Arabian horses in Janow Podlaski - horse lovers. This area is characterized by a well-preserved village of wooden houses. We pay attention to multiculturalism and multifaithfulness on Bug river areas. This place is the cultural crossroads of East and West. Testimony for interpenetration of cultures are preserved temples and cemeteries. Bug River trail connects to existing cycling and walking trails in the area. The route is led both through roads with paved surface and dirt roads. The course through provincial roads with significant traffic was minimized for unsurfaced dirt roads which may be difficult to travel in adverse weather conditions . But this was necessary due to the safety of tourists. Bug River areas offer also opportunities for canoeing, hiking, horseback riding and fishing.
