Lakes in Gmina Wlodawa:
Climatic conditions in Gmina Wlodawa are typical for the whole of Polesie Lubelskie. The warmest month is July, which favors the development of tourism. About the attractiveness of the landscape here, decide numerous and picturesque lakes and large forests. Lake undoubtedly represent a great wealth of the community. Their clean water, regular shape of shoreline and picturesque location among the surrounding forests, attractt thousands of tourists to that area every year. They focus on two areas. One of them is located around the village Okuninka where there are seven lakes, including White Lake and Glinki. The second area is in Sobibor Landscape Park where are seven mid – forest lakes.

1. White Lake +
Pearl of the Gmina Włodawa and the province is Lake White - the most beautiful, purest of 68 lakes in Łęczyńsko – Włodawskie Lakeland. Situated among scenic meadows and forests, creating a unique microclimate, microclimate close to the seaside. White Lake is one of the largest and deepest lakes in the municipality and located in the eastern of Łęczyńsko – Włodawska Plain. The area around the reservoir has become a leisure and recreation centre. Lake is far from Wlodawa about 7 km, from Chelm about 40 km from Lublin about 95 km. Due to the attractive location it is very interesting subregion with high medicinal, tourism and recreational values.It Occupies an area of 106 hectares, it is 1616 m long and 806 m wide and the length of the shoreline is 4262 m. The maximum depth reaches 33 m. The lake waters have Ist class of purity. The lake has easy access to water, hard and sandy bottom.About 20 species of fish live in the lake: whitefish, pike, zander, eels, perch, carp, bream and tench. By the lake you can find mallard ducks, grebes, herons, swans, marsh harrier. From the south the lake is surrounded by trees belonging to Sobibor Landscape Park. Summer on White Lake takes on average about 105 days a year. Air dust is negligible and there are mainly mineral particles. Presumably this is a lake of glacial origin. Its essential feature is the high water temperature and its small decrease with depth. Around the White Lake there are a number of resorts located . 2. Glinki Lake +
Glinki(Clays) Lake is a flow reservoir which led to the degradation of its waters. Currently, most of the summer, swimming in it is not allowed. Surroundings are pine forests. You can go around the lake. A little harder is to ride a route by bicycle, because over the river Tarasienka there is only a makeshift footbridge from the trunk. In winter you can reach the beaver lodges located near the site of flow and river outflow of the lake. Sandy shore ,on the north side ,rises quite clearly - the slope to the sun and the barren soil make no dense overgrown vegetation 13 and is a favorite place of living for sand lizard. Particularly impressive are the males during the mating season, when they take-intensive green color.

3. Black Lake +
Black Lake is a private reservoir used a little.Particularly interesting are the wetlands adjacent to the lake with some wetland birds.

4. lake Koseniec +
Lake Koseniec was originally incorporated in one body of water Spólne - Kosaniec. Situated in the heart of heavily waterlogged Holocene valley areas of eastern Łęczyńsko – Włodawska plain. As a result of land reclamation process there was draining of swamps and bogs, so there are two separate bodies of water connected with natural channel of mid-forest . Kosaniec lake is covered by the reserve protection "Mud turtles' tank is well isolated from the influence of anthropogenic is not used for tourism and recreation.

5. Lipieniec Lake +
Lake Lipieniec (Lipiniec) is located just by the road. It serves primarily as a fishing vessel.

6. Lake Orchowo +
Mid-forest lake in the final stage of fouling situated in a former glacial valley. The surroundings are swamp forests: birch and alder swamp forest. Unique flora is represented, among others by silence lithuanica catchfly, marsh gentian, pływacz pospolity and numerous species of sundew.

7. Lake Perespa +
Perespa lake is located among Sobibor forests marshy shores which are not available are protection from anthropogenic influences. Lake is part of the Sobibór lakes of reserve protection in order to maintain a large mud turtle population.

8. Lake Rogóźno +
Rogóźno lake is surrounded by alder wetlands with lush vegetation typical for low peat bogs.

9. Holy Lake +
Święte (Holy) Lake, despite the small size is quite deep, surrounded by peat bog. The biggest attraction is thick "carpets" of carnivorous sundew, mainly a rare spoonleaf sundew, but also round-oval and hybrid sundews. In the vicinity of the lake grows eight impressive oaks, the largest of which is over 4 meters in girth. From the curiosities of the animal world on the banks of peat European mole cricket can be found here, and numerous amphibians and reptiles (grass snakes).

10. Common Lake +
Wspólne(Common) lake (65.5 ha, 2.25 m depth) is covered with rush vegetation.
